چکیده
Alkali-activated slag (AAS) is a promising cementing material for winter construction due to its continuous hydration at sub-zero temperature. In order obtain higher mechanical strength of AAS mortar in construction, the most efficient alkali activator should be selected. Potassium silicate and sodium as alkaline activators possess high rate ordinary showed different properties because cations, so effect cation on performance was studied The potassium-silicate-activated (K-AAS) sodium-silicate-activated (N-AAS) were thoroughly compared ambient temperatures ?10 °C, 0 20 °C. compressive flexural K-AAS increased by 130.4% 72.3% age 1 day 49% 33.7% 28 days temperature °C with N-AAS mortar. reveal mechanism behind influence cations mortar, heat, products, pore structures characterized. heat exhibited that release cumulative are than N-AAS, indicating reaction degree K-AAS. DTG/TG ATR-FTIR spectra generated more gel product C(-A)-S-H same curing MIP results porosity lower N-AAS. Finally, explanation proposed. To sum up, potassium selected an construction.

Study on the Alkali Activated Fly Ash Mortar
The development of alkali-activated binders seems to present a greener alternative to OPC. The present study has been made on the low calcium fly ash with alkali activator as an alternative binding material as mortar. The mortar has been prepared with ennore sand and Indian fly ash mixed with alkali activator fluid consisting of sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide of different concentrations. ...

Alkali activated material has recently attracted great attention as an environmentally friendly building material. Generally, it exhibits higher mechanical properties and better durability when compared with Portland cement based materials. In this article, mixed alkali activated systems consisting of N-A-S-H and C-A-S-H hydrated gels were produced, using metakaolin as a dominated starting mate...
متن کاملThe Interfacial Transition Zone in Alkali-Activated Slag Mortars
The interfacial transition zone (ITZ) is known to strongly influence the mechanical and transport properties of mortars and concretes. This paper studies the ITZ between siliceous (quartz) aggregates and alkali-activated slag (AAS) binders in the context of mortar specimens. Backscattered electron (BSE) images generated in an environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM) are used to identif...
متن کاملEffect of Na3PO4 on the Hydration Process of Alkali-Activated Blast Furnace Slag
In recent years, the utilization of different non-traditional cements and composites has been increasing. Alkali-activated cementitious materials, especially those based on the alkali activation of blast furnace slag, have considerable potential for utilization in the building industry. However, alkali-slag cements exhibit very rapid setting times, which are too short in some circumstances, and...
